The Discover Whitewater Series Half Marathon Relay will begin and end at the Whitewater High School. Two-person relay teams are available.
7:57 a.m.- Half Marathon Wheelchair Division
8 a.m.- Half Marathon and Half Marathon Relay (self seed)
The course is open for 4 hours.
There will be a gel station at approximately Mile 7.
At this time, the event will be a self-seeded start. Walkers please remain at back of all other participants. Strollers and wagons are permitted but not recommended in the Half Marathon or Half Marathon Relay. No animals other than service animals will be allowed on the course. Please no roller blades, scooters, bikes or other vehicles.
Half Marathon Relay Information:
Runner 1: Will be hand timed at the half marathon relay exchange point. The 1/2 Marathon Relay Exchange Point will have water, chocolate milk, pretzels and fruit available for participants.
*Note for Runner 1 – close to exchange point, you will need to merge to the right. Signage will be available, but please be aware of the need to merge onto the right hand side of the road for the exchange.
Runner 2: Please wear bib with the finish timing chip on it for finish time.
A shuttle bus will be provided for Runner 2 to get from the Whitewater High School to the exchange point. Runner 2 will be able to see Runner 1 start the race. Runner 2 should then go to the northeast corner of Elizabeth Street and Walworth Avenue. There will be a Nelson school bus ready to shuttle you to the exchange point. Runner 1 will also be provided shuttle service FROM the exchange point back to the Whitewater High School/finish line area.
Finisher medals, food and beverages for race participants will be located at the finish line on the Whitewater High School track. Spectators will NOT be allowed onto the track or into the finish line area. Spectators will be able to view and cheer on finishers from the bleachers adjacent to the finish line (behind the fence) or on the bleachers near the press box.
